Jackery is offering its latest Explorer 600 v2 Portable Power Station at $399 shipped, which has still not hit Amazon’s marketplace yet, while the closest model is the Explorer 500 v2 at $359 shipped. Since its release in late October, we only saw it holding at its launch price of $380, with it having been skipped over during Black Friday and Christmas events. The latest of Jackery’s second-generation refreshes, the new Explorer 600 v2 power station is an upgraded step-up from the previous Explorer 600 Plus station, bringing along a larger 640Wh LiFePO4 battery inside a compact, 14-pound unit that provides backup power support for short trips off-grid. It delivers up to 500W to 1,000W of maximum power output through six ports: 2x AC, 2x USB-C, 1x USB-A, and a cigarette lighter port. Whereas many of the brand’s other stations boast 4,000 charging cycle lifespans, this model is rated for up to 6,000 cycles and comes with a 5-year warranty.
It can be recharged in one of three ways. First, a typical AC outlet can have it back to full from empty in around one hour, or you can charge as you drive using your car’s auxiliary port in around six hours. Of course, going with the lone bundle option gives you half of its total solar input, with the 100W panel putting it back to full with 6.5 hours of sunlight (half that time using 200W of input).
