The latest Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 power station brings along a doubled battery size to its C1000 Gen 2 counterpart, which we also went hands-on with in a tested review back in October. What’s particularly nice about this bundle is the inclusion of the alternator charger that gives you faster charge-as-you-drive speeds over using the standard car port option, making it particularly nice for campers and other travelers.
The C2000 Gen 2 model continues Anker’s trend of refreshing power stations with a more compact and lighter build, with this newer model starting with a 2,048Wh LiFePO4 capacity that can double to 4,096Wh with an expansion battery added on. It provides you with 11 output ports for device/appliance connections (5x AC, 3x USB-C, and solo TT-30R, USB-A, and a car port), through which it can deliver up to 2,400W of steady power and surge upwards to a 4,000W maximum.
Alongside the alternator charger, this new model boasts five alternate forms of recharging methods, with an AC outlet or a gas generator topping off the battery from empty in around 88 minutes, and of course, you have to option to take advantage of up to 800W of solar panel inputs, too. The alternator charger gives you far faster charging rates over the car port, and there’s a dual AC and solar option that can refill the battery in around 58 minutes.
