Aventon has launched a special flash sale that is dropping its popular legacy Level 2 Commuter e-bike to $999 shipped through the weekend only. While it’s been sporting an $1,899 MSRP for quite a while, we’ve more often seen it down at $1,599 or more recently keeping to $1,499 over the last year, with the latter being the lowest price we have tracked in its history. Now, however, Aventon is cutting a massive $900 off that tag price to land it lower than ever for only a few days, likely to make way for added stock of the new Level 3 smart e-bike and its step-through counterpart that have mostly kept to their $1,899 full prices. You can learn what to expect from this legacy model below, and be sure to jump on the deal while it lasts, as there is no telling if stocks will run out (and never be refilled) or if we will see another discount like this again.
While it may not sport the new array of smart features and more premium parts like the new Level 3 step-over and step-through models, Aventon’s Level 2 commuter e-bike is still a solid option to upgrade your non-gas reliant travels with – especially at this new low price.
The 500W rear hub motor hear (with a 750W peak power) and the 14.0Ah battery work together to provide you with up to 60 miles worth of pedal-assisted travel (supported by a torque sensor), as well as up to 28 MPH speeds. Relying entirely on its throttle for pure electric riding, though, does limit speeds to 20 MPH while also reducing its overall travel distance.
Before its newer counterparts hit the market, the Level 2 e-bike held the mantle of Aventon’s flagship for quite some time, and despite being a legacy model, you’re still getting a solid array of features that only assist in making your commutes all the better. These include the hydraulic disc brakes, the front suspension, integrated headlight and taillight combo (the latter having brake-activation lighting), a rear-mounted cargo rack, hybrid tires to handle various terrains, an 8-speed Shimano derailleur, a backlit LCD screen, and more.
