All eyes may be on Apple’s new MacBook Neo right now, but this Acer Aspire 16-inch Copilot+ PC is worth considering while it’s down to $549.99 shipped if you’re looking for a more affordable Windows alternative. This Snapdragon X-powered laptop typically goes for $700, but it’s going for $150 less – just in time to land as a reliable Windows alternative to the new MacBook. We did see it dip lower during last year’s Black Friday sale, but today’s 21% discount is the best price we’ve tracked on it so far this year. Unlike the Intel-powered model of this Acer Swift 16 AI laptop that was recently discounted, the model featured here runs on a Snapdragon X ARM processor, which also comes with a 45TOPS NPU for Copilot+ and other AI features. Acer has paired the processor here with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, and it also comes with a 16-inch WUXGA touchscreen panel with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. Other highlights of this notebook include support for Wi-Fi 7, a backlit keyboard, and a dedicated Copilot key, among other things. Not only is this laptop going for less than Apple’s new MacBook Neo, it also offer a lot more features that are missing on the new MacBook Neo like a high refresh-rate touchscreen panel, a backlit full-size keyboard, and so on.
If you don’t mind spending more for a Windows laptop today, Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5 16-inch notebook is down to $930. It sports an OLED panel and is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 processor, and it’s down from its usual price of $1,350 today.
