We have detailed some notable $200 price drops on the M5 MacBook Pro already this morning with deals starting from $399, but the first cash discounts have arrived on the brand new 2026 M5 Pro models now as well. Amazon is offering $50 cash discounts on the new pro-grade machine, while Best Buy is up at full price but with a$100 store credit attached.
Amazon is now offering nearly $50 off the three M5 Pro configurations it offers:
- 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/1TB $2,149 (Reg. $2,199)
- 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/2TB $2,549 (Reg. $2,599)
- 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/2TB | 20-Core $2,749 (Reg. $2,799)
- 16-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/2TB $2,649 (Reg. $2,699)
- 16-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro 48GB/2TB $3,049 (Reg. $3,099)
Best Buy on the other hand is serving up a $100 store credit, but this is only available to paid Best Buy Plus and Total members:
- M5 Pro MacBook Pro from $2,199
- M5 Max MacBook Pro from $3,599
- Plus and Total members get a $100 bonus reward with MacBook Pro (M5 Pro) or MacBook Pro (M5 Max) purchase.
Which is a better deal? Well, if you are a Plus or Total member at Best Buy you do any a couple options here. I might rather just holster the $100 credit as that can do some serious damage on future releases or less pricey gear (or anything else), but I’m also not a paid Best Buy member, so the $50 off is where I would be looking. Either way, there are some options here for release week if you’re looking to land one of the Apple’s brand new M5 Pro machines in the early days.
