The brand new AirPods Max have arrived and we are still tracking some light price drops on Amazon alongside as much as $130 off with trades (details below), but Amazon did just knock $119 off the AirPods Max (USB-C).
We were previously tracking the Midnight set down this low, but Amazon is now offering the Blue, Purple, and Starlight models down at $429.99 shipped.
Originally $549, this now previous-generation set remains a compelling option if you can score a nice deal on them and you are now looking at $119 slashed from the list price on these three colorways.
It might be a long while before we start to see the brand new AirPods Max 2 with a straight up $100 or $120 price drop like we have here on the USB-C set Apple released as an upgrade to the older Lightning model. The set we have on sale here today comes in the same colors as the new model and is now a whole lot less pricey.
That said, and as mentioned above, Amazon is offering select AirPods Max 2 colorways at $530 right now and Best Buy will give you $130 back with trade-ins of the older Lightning Max. This has been, and remains, the best way to save some cash on the new Max 2 set thus far – this would effectively deliver a price at $419 on the brand new set.
