Amazon has M5 MacBook Pro down at $1,400 right now ($299 under the most affordable model Apple sells)

This deal likely won’t last for long folks, but the most affordable M5 MacBook Pro you can buy just dropped down to $1,399.99 shipped. It was starting to appear as though this configuration was gone for good, but, at least for right now, Amazon has it in stock at one of the best prices to date.

Amazon is now offering the 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD down at $1,399.99 shipped. This model launched at $1,599 in late 2025 and is now back at the best price we have tracked all year.

Apple actually got rid of this particular configuration last month after it ditched the 512GB storage tier entirely, effectively raising the entry price to its current M5 MacBook Pro lineup to $1,699. Everybody prefers 1TB over 512GB, but this is very much the most affordable point of entry into the M5 MacBook Pro lineup and it is likely only a matter of time before it is gone for good.

There’s no telling how long this model will be available for purchase at retail, never mind down at $1,400. It has been completely sold out at Amazon for a couple weeks now but has now magically reappeared and at a discounted rate.

Get in there while you can.
