It’s back: Clearance pricing hits M4 MacBook Air 16GB/512GB at nearly $400 off list price

It’s back folks. After quickly going out of stock after our fear piece earlier this week, the 15-inch 16GB/512GB model surfaced again this morning at nearly $400 off its original list price.

Amazon is once again offering this 15-inch M4 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and the 512GB internal SSD down at $999.97 shipped. If it things go anything like before, it it isn’t likely to stay in stock for long.

The configuration we are featuring here today launched in 2025 with a $!,399 list price – this deal lands at $399 off the original MSRP.

That said, a far more helpful comparison is to that of the new M5 MacBook Air lineup. While it, of course, boasts a faster chip alongside a few other upgrades, the only reason anyone would buy a $1,000 previous-generation machine is if it delivered significant savings over the new model. Here’s how the current deal prices stack up:

While the price of entry on the new M5 MacBook Air lineup is in fact higher this year than last, with the storage and RAM setup on the M5, the price on the upgraded models is in fact lower this time around.

This means the M4 deal we have here today is $299 under the MSRP on the most comparable M5, and $!49 under the current sale price/Amazon all-time low. That, for some, is perhaps not quite enough to warranty going previous-gen, but it is undeniably significantly less cash either way.

Just be sure to stop by the particularly notable discounts we are tracking right now at B&H on select 15-inch MacBook Air models – they are up to $220 offand the best thing going right now on these specific models – and you’ll find the deal prices across the lineup at Amazon waiting below:
