While the AirPods Pro 3 remain the flagship model in the lineup (currently $50 off), Apple debuted the all-new AirPods 5 at its “Surprise and shine” event and pre-orders are now live on the base model and the higher-end Wireless Charging Case variant.
The new AirPods 5 come in two models again this year, except both models include active noise cancellation this time. The main differences here are largely price and a few key hardware features, like the on-stem volume slider and the wireless charging case on the slightly more pricey variant.
Some of the highlights include 50% more noise reduction by comparison to the previous-generation AirPods 4 with ANC. You’ll also find a next-gen Adaptive EQ, enhanced Spatial Audio, and up to 20 hours of battery with the case.
The higher-end model also lands with on-stem plume controls like AirPods Pro as well the longer battery life and the wireless charging case, as the name suggests.
