While Amazon’s early fall Prime Day deals continue to roll in, Walmart is serving up a particularly solid gaming laptop deal of its own with the HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop with an RTX 5060 GPU down at $1,249 shipped. This is regularly a $1,900 notebook, so you’re looking at a whopping $650 discount on it right now. It’s easily one of the best HP OMEN gaming laptop deals we’ve seen in a while, and it delivers some serious value considering similarly-specced models are fetching upwards of $2,000 right now directly at HP’s online store and other retailers like Best Buy. Head below for more details.
This particular variant of the HyperX OMEN 15 is a pretty capable midrange config with a 15-inch 2K IPS 165Hz display. It’s powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255H processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, along with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. It should be able to run pretty much all modern games at higher settings while also handling heavier everyday workloads, multitasking, and content creation without much trouble. The 165Hz panel also makes sense for faster-paced titles, while the 2K resolution gives you a sharper image than a standard 1080p gaming laptop. You’re also getting a backlit keyboard and a fairly simple and minimal chassis, so it’s great for folks who want a gaming laptop that doesn’t go overboard with the usual aggressive styling and RGB.
There are also some solid early fall Prime Day deals on Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors right now, so they’re worth a look if you’re upgrading the rest of your battlestation. Logitech’s G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE is also seeing a rare discount, dropping to $160 if you want to pair the setup with a new gaming mouse.
