Apple has officially unleashed the new HomeView smart display and HomePod mini 2 for pre-order, as well as the new, and particularly expensive Apple TV 4K. If you are not ready to drop $299 for the upgraded Apple TV experience, you can at least upgrade your existing setup with the all-new Apple TV Siri Remote (4th generation) for just $59.
No, this is not technically a deal by any means – $59 is the list price on the new Siri Remote. But if history is any indication deals on this thing are going to be incredibly rare and it’s a whole lot less pricey than buying a whole new Apple TV 4K that includes this same remote.
The new Apple TV Siri Remote (4th generation) is not only compatible with new Apple TV 4th Gen, but also the Apple TV HD and the previous-generation Apple TV 4K.
It lands with a familiar design and form-factor made of 100% recycled aluminum, but with a few key upgrades under the hood. Precision Finding support for Find My is now at the ready, as well as a built-in speaker. You can now ask your phone or your new HomeView to track it down and sound the chime when it inevitably lands between the couch cushions or something along those lines.
The new Siri Remote keeps its familiar design while adding Find My support with Precision Finding and an option to play a sound on the remote — making it far easier to locate.
As mentioned above, the Apple TV 4K and Siri Remote are going up for sale alongside the all-new HomeView and HomePod mini 2:
- Apple HomeView $299
- Silver, Rose Pink, Starlight, Space Gray
- Apple HomeView (Wall mounted) $299
- Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) with USB-C Wall Connector Power Mount $359
- Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) with AC-Wired Power Mount $379
- HomePod mini 2 $149
