Spot power hogs with this smart home energy monitoring system down at $160

If your home energy bill keeps rising and you can’t quite isolate the cause, Amazon is offering the Meross Smart Home Energy Monitor for $159.98 shipped. This unit debuted late last year for $300, but as you can see below, it has dropped as low as today’s rate over the last several months. At $160, it seems like isolating runaway power hogs will let this pay for itself in a relatively short period. Head below to learn more.

While this is certainly not as plug-and-play as a smart plug would be, it is arguably a much more effective way to truly understand what may be driving up your energy bill. It attaches directly to your electric panel with support for “single-phase 2-wire systems, single-split phase 3-wire systems, and 3-phase 4-wire systems.” It can handle “2 main circuits (200A) + 16 branch circuits (60A).” No subscriptions are require with this system and you can get notifications if there are unusual usage spikes detected.
