Fall Prime Day offer on the M3 MacBook Air at $275 off might be the best Apple laptop deal all year

One of the very first fall Prime Day price drops we spotted this year was on the latest M3 MacBook Air configurations with the 13-inch models dropped back to the best prices ever from $849. Those deals, which include the 8GB and upgraded 16GB of RAM models, are indeed still live but one particularly fantastic price drop is still flying too far under the radar. Apple latest 15-inch M3 MacBook Air is actually now sitting at the best prices ever, undercutting the July Prime Day sale and the wild back-to-school offers we spotted. The regularly $1,299 8GB/256GB configuration is down at $1,044 shipped and the 15-incher with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is now at $1,424 shipped from the usual $1,699. Thats up to $275 off and the lowest prices we have ever tracked. 

Best Prime Day MacBook deal

While we have seen massive $500 and even $600 price drops on the latest M3 and M3 Pro MacBook Pro machines over the last couple months, I still might argue the M3 MacBook Air deals on tap for the fall Prime Day are the best discounts we have seen on any current-generation MacBook all year. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that these M3 MacBook Pro deals landed just before the machine was about to get refreshed with a new model.

In terms of actually dollars in savings they clearly aren’t as deep. But we are also talking about far more affordable and accessible machines for most, arguably the best option for the vast majority of folks looking to score a new Mac this fall.

There’s is no denying how sweet that Space Black paint job is the M3 Pro models, and the new M4 MacBook Pros are almost certainly getting unveiled this month, but those are all far more pricey machines than any of the MacBook Airs on tap for Prime Day October edition – the only M3 Pro model that sells for less is the base model M3 that only has 8GB of RAM. 

Either way, you’re looking at the best prices ever on a current-generation Apple laptop that isn’t scheduled to be refreshed until well into 2025, is already built for Apple Intelligence features, and will almost certainly be more than powerful for the folks not willing to pay the pro prices well beyond that.
