Much like what we saw on the previous-gen series 7 models, now that Google Pixel 9 has arrived we are starting to see seriously deep price drops on Pixel 8. While the Google Pixel 8 Pro is still sold on its official storefront at $999, Amazon has now dropped the price down to $649 shipped, or $350 off the going rate. Much of the same also carries over to Google Pixel 8 with configurations now starting from $499 shipped, or $200 off the list price.

Now both sitting at the lowest prices we can find, you’re looking at some serious deals coming within $25 of the best we have ever tracked at Amazon on the unlocked Pixel 8 Pro models. For comparison’s sake, Pixel 9 sells for $799 right now, or $150 above the price of the pro-grade series 8 model.

The Pixel 8 Pro remains a capable pocket computer and a with quite a similar form-factor as the series 9 models. We aren’t talking about some ancient piece of tech that’s been around for years and years here – Pixel 8 debuted for the first time last fall as Google’s latest lineup of flagship smartphones. It features the Tensor G3 chip to run Google’s AI tech on the 6.7-inch Super Actua display with the brand’s adaptive battery that can deliver over “24 hours” of action or “up to 72 hours” with the Extreme Battery Saver mode.
