We are now tracking a deal that drops Lexar’s 1TB NM790 SSD down to $62.88 shipped on Amazon. This particular drive has fetched as much as $84 in recent months, and it’s been sitting at the $82 mark since last month. Today’s deal on Amazon delivers a solid $19 discount to land the lowest price we’ve tracked for it this year. Only once before today have we tracked this M.2 model for any less, though we haven’t seen it fetch anything less than $71 since the industry-wide price hike hit SSDs in 2024. Head below for more details.

The Lexar NM790 is one of the more performant PCIe NVMe Gen 4 drives on the market, reaching read and write speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s and 6,500 MB/s, respectively. It’s available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, all of which use the tried-and-tested Maxio MAP1602 controller, and come with a 5-year warranty with MTBF reaching 1.5 million hours or up to 3,000TB written. The variant of NM790 SSD discounted today also comes with a heatsink, meaning it’s ready to be used with a PS5 out of the box.

If you’re looking for some alternatives, then the deal we tracked last week on Lexar’s 4TB PLAY 2280 SSD is still live at $299. It’s also compatible with PS5 with speeds reaching up to 7,400MB/s, and it’s down from its usual price of $380.
