The official Nextorage storefront at Newegg is offering its 2TB PS5-ready M.2 2280 SSD with heatsink for $119.99 shipped along with a FREE $5 gift card. This SSD originally retailed for $200 but has recently been fetching close to $150 on Amazon. Today’s deal at Newegg shaves an additional $30 off its usual going rate to land it $10 below its previous low and our mention from a couple of months back. Samsung’s 7,250MB/s 990 EVO Plus SSDs

This is one of the more popular PS5-compatible SSDs out there among enthusiasts from a brand that originally hit the scene in 2019 as Sony’s in-house SSD division. You are looking at an M.2 2280 drive that delivers impressive read and write speeds of up to 7,400MB/s and 6,400MB/s, respectively. It’s available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, and they both feature a black alumite-coated aluminum heatsink for effective thermal management. It’s fully compatible with both PS5 and PC setups, and comes backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

Samsung’s 4TB 990 EVO Plus drive is also worth considering at $235 low today, if you’re looking for alternatives. This one doesn’t have a heatsink, but it can hit transfer speeds of up to 7,250MB/s and is down from its usual price of $260.
