Bose’s retro-inspired brushed metal SoundLink Home is the prettiest speaker out there, now $50 off

The brushed metal Bose SoundLink Home speaker is still a favorite of mine. It released in 2024 shortly before I had a chance to go hands-on and it remains a go-to in my setup – this things look as good as it sounds and it’s still $50 off ahead of the holidays.

Amazon is currently offering the Bose SoundLink Home down at $179 shipped in my personal favorite brushed silver treatment as well as the darker Cool Gray vibe. Over on the official Bose site you’ll find both of these deals matched alongside the exclusive Warm Wood brown paint job. Regularly $229, this is $50 off the best we can find.

On the official site you will “get a free Gift Box with your purchase. Ends December 22nd at 12PM EST. While supplies last.”

Deals on the Bose SoundLink Home have been relatively rare since release. We did see a new all-time low land for a few days during the fall Prime Day event, but the deal we have today is otherwise the lowest we have tracked.

As I have detailed previously, this is not one of those high-tech smart speakers with all sort of bells and whistles, built-in voice assistants, and things of that nature – it does one thing, and it does it very well.

But aside from simply just sounding good, it looks really good too. So good, in fact, that I might suggest it is almost worth the price of entry just to adorn your retro-inspired shelving setup, the mantle, or art deco furniture. I obviously wouldn’t recommend buying it if it just looked like a speaker, but it is pretty enough to enhance your decor even when you’re not using it, much the way it does mine.

Touches like anodized aluminum and a high-quality fabric grille add to the speaker’s premium feel and sleek good looks.

For a complete rundown of the user experience, my hands-on review is your best bet:

The SoundLink Home Speaker brings standout sound from a size that fits in, while chic touches add a premium feel and sleek good looks. It’s wireless, too, so you can add music to any room of your home — from bedroom to kitchen and back — matching the space to your musical mood.
