Apple debuted the long-awaited AirTag 2 today. Pre-orders are now live at Amazon ahead of delivery this week and are also joined by some discounts on the now previous-generation model.
The new Apple tracker lands with a shot of upgrades, from an upgraded Ultra Wideband chip and a 50% louder speaker than the previous model, to Precision Finding support for Apple Watch and better Bluetooth range. It, perhaps most importantly, lands at the same price as the previous model:

The all-new tracker certainly seems to take things up a notch in just about every way most folks would have hoped for, but if none of those upgrade mean all that much for your needs, the 4-pack of the now previous-gen model is currently selling for $69.99 on Amazon – within $5 of our previous mention to deliver a price at $17.50 per tag.
For many the $11 and change difference here isn’t going to be worth it, but if you’re just looking for a set-it-and-forget-it type of tracking setup, and need more than one, that can add up quickly and there’s no telling how long it might take for the new model to see 30% price drops.
