Segway has brought back a number of discounts on its e-scooter lineup, with a notable continuing of the Max G2 Electric Scooter at $699.99 shipped, which is not currently available at Amazon. It’s been marked down from its $1,400 MSRP, though on average you can often find it starting lower around $1,000, with this particular price having been holding out since the start of February. The $300 savings have endured despite its counterparts fluctuating with discounts, giving you an ongoing chance to score it at the second-lowest recurring price that is beaten by the $650 rate we last saw during Christmas sales, and the third-lowest price overall behind that Christmas pricing and a one-time-only drop to $530 from early December. While it may not be as premium of a ride as the latest Max G3 model, this Segway Max G2 electric scooter is still a solid commuting option that goes further than most of the brand’s lower-end models, not to mention that it brings along smarter features like Apple Find My inclusion and Bluetooth locking for security. The weather-resistant steel deck houses a 450W motor (with a 1,000W peak output) and a 551Wh battery, which gives you travel speeds of up to 22 MPH for up to 43 miles.
Comfort has been upgraded here through the front suspension to smooth more uneven roads, while the larger footboard gives you plenty more standing room – plus, there’s the typical folding frame design that allows you to store it and transport it more easily. Other features include self-healing tubeless tires, a rear regenerative brake alongside front drum brakes, turn signals, the brand’s traction control system for when your journeys pass over wet streets, an LED screen for settings, and more.
