New M5 MacBook Air pre-order deals are live, but M4 models now $300 off at new Amazon lows

Apple unleashed its all-new M5 MacBook Air this week, and we are tracking solid pre-order deals on both it and the new MacBook Neo with FREE gift cards starting from $599. However, those not bothered by the latest Air might want to take a look at the sizable $300 price drops Amazon is now offering the M4 MacBook Air right now – you will find 13- and 15-inch machines sitting at Amazon all-time low pricing for pre-order week.

We caught these new all-time lows going live yesterday at Amazon, but as per usual stock on select models is wearing thin and we wanted to make sure these, frankly, major $300 price drops were on everyone’s radar:

As you can see above there are a few configurations seeing particularly deep deals at Amazon right now, including both of the 24GB models in the 13- and 15-inch sizes as well as a 16GB/512GB 15-incher as well. Color options are already starting to sell out, so be sure to get in there if you’re looking to save some cash on the still capable M4 model instead of jumping into the now live M5 MacBook Air pre-order deals.

Speaking of which, Best Buy has locked down the best deals on M5 MacBook Air pre-order deals. Not only is it offering some serious trade-in potential but it is also delivering a FREE $50 gift card with your order:

***Note: Pre-orders are live at Amazon on the new M5 Air as well, but there is no bonus gift card action there.

You can learn more about the differences between the two models over at 9to5Mac, but we are by and large talking about a faster SSD, a better charger in the box, 512GB of storage on the starter tier, and higher starting price tag at $100.
