Best 2026 MacBook pre-order deals: MacBook Neo, M5 Air, and M5 Pro MacBook Pro

Apple has officially unleashed its next-generation M5 MacBook Air as well as the M5 Pro MacBook Pro, but it has also introduced the world to its new and far more affordable MacBook Neo. All three of the new models are now up for pre-order before shipments begin arriving on doorsteps mid next week, so we have now put together the best pre-order deals for folks to land a discount on their new 2026 MacBook.

There is, of course, pre-order listings available at Amazon on all three of the new MacBook models Apple launched this week, but unless you have some store credit at the ready there, Best Buy is being far more aggressive. And by far more aggressive I mean it is really the only retailer that is offering a bunch of FREE credit with pre-orders on all three models: FREE $25 gift card with MacBook Neo, $50 gift card on M5 MacBook Air, and $100 gift cards on M5 Pro MacBook Pro models.

Who has the best deals on the new MacBooks?

As of right now Best Buy is the short answer. It is really the only major retailer giving out FREE credit along with purchases, and you can score this credit even if you trade-in older gear to bring the effective price down on top of it. There are some EDU offers straight from Apple, but only select folks are going to be able to take advantage there – if you can’t get those, Best Buy is where it’s at.

Where are the best trade-in values for new MacBooks?

In some cases even the trade-in values straight from Apple aren’t as good as what Best Buy will offer, and even if they are, remember to factor in the value of the FREE Best Buy gift card as well. This gift card action is going to be more valuable or interesting to some than others, but you won’t be getting any bonus store credit from Apple with trade-ins.
