Ecovacs robot vacuums get major price cuts up to $500 as US tariffs stabilize

Ecovacs, a robot vacuum maker that our sister site 9to5Google covers frequently, has just announced that it is enacting “permanent” price cuts to most of its lineup, and they’re not small either.

Effective starting today, April 28, nine different Ecovacs robot vacuum + mop systems are getting cuts to their MSRP, something we rarely see nowadays. We’d call these “permanent” cuts if it weren’t for the fact that prices seem to change on a regular basis nowadays across the entire tech industry amid the RAM/storage crisis and the impact of tariffs over the past couple of years.

Tariffs are the reason for this price cut, notably.

As US-China trade relations have stabilized, the “tariff-driven premium” for Ecovacs products sold in the US is being stripped away, with savings of up to $450 on certain models.

Ecovacs explains in a statement to 9to5Toys:

ECOVACS is the first Chinese robot vacuum brand to proactively reduce prices following the stabilization of US-China trade relations, removing the tariff-driven premium for US consumers.

The price cuts, as mentioned, are pretty substantial, but they do vary by model. Here are the nine price cuts kicking in today:

Original PriceNew PriceDifference
X11 OmniCyclone $1,499.99$1,099.99– $400
X9S Pro Omni$999.99$899.99– $100
X9 Pro Omni$1,299.99$799.99– $500
T90 Omni$799.99$699.99– $100
T80S Omni$699.99$649.99– $50
T80 Omni$999.99$549.99– $450
T50 Max$799.99$449.99– $350
T50 Pro$699.99$399.99– $300
T50 Omni$649.99$389.99– $260

And, keep in mind, this is just the MSRP. As with just about every robot vacuum brand, it’s not uncommon to see these products on sale frequently, and this lower starting point suggests that Ecovacs’ offerings are about to become a really good deal as other brands have yet to announce the same price cuts.
