Apple’s 48GB M5 Pro MacBook Pro upgrades your setup at $250 off right now

Alongside the ongoing deals on the base model M5 MacBook Pro down at $1,499, today we are taking look at a $250 price drop on the upgraded 16-inch for folks who need more horsepower and Liquid Retina real estate.

Amazon is currently offering the 16-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM and the 1TB SSD down at $2,849 shipped. This deal is only live on the Silver model while the Space Black is up a touch higher at $2,882.

This is still quite the investment of course, but we are talking about the larger 16-inch display with a 2x RAM bump that would normally run you well over $3,100 with tax.

The $250 in savings here lands on par with the lowest price we have tracked on this configuration at Amazon, and that includes both the Silver and Space Black models – while the Space Black isn’t down as low right now, it too has never sold for less than $2,849 at Amazon.

As mentioned above, if the M5 Pro chip, 16-inch display, and 48GB RAM count is overkill for your needs, direct your attention to the base model M5 MacBook Pro instead. This one still carries 16GB of RAM, the same 1TB storage capacity, and, while clearly not as powerful as an M5 Pro machine, will likely suffice for most folks at a much more digestible $1,499 deal price – that’s $200 off and matching the lowest we have ever tracked on this model at Amazon.

Or, bring the spend down significantly more and opt for the 2026 M5 MacBook Air instead:
