4K 160Hz or FHD 324Hz? This latest ASUS ROG Strix gaming monitor lets you pick with Fast IPS panel at $300 low

We are now tracking a deal at Amazon that drops ASUS’ latest (XG27UCSR) 2nd-gen ROG Strix 27-inch 4K HDR gaming monitor to $299.99 shipped. This updated display launched earlier in April with a $400 price tag, and today’s offer takes $100 off to deliver a new all-time low. It is now $30 below the previous best price we saw shortly after launch. There are plenty of dual-mode gaming monitors on the market, but it is rare to find one around the $300 mark, making this a particularly notable deal. Head below for more details.

This new ASUS ROG Strix gaming monitor features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and a handy dual-mode feature. You can run it at 4K with a 160Hz refresh rate for sharper, more immersive single-player games, or switch to Full HD at 324Hz when you want the extra speed for competitive titles like Valorant or Counter-Strike 2. It delivers a 0.03ms response time and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and it also offers a good set of connectivity options to get an HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode to let you hook up compatible laptops or handhelds with a cleaner one-cable setup.

Best Buy is also offering loads of gaming monitors at discounted prices right now as part of its ongoing 4th of July sale, and you’ll find them all highlighted right here.

ASUS ROG Strix gaming monitor features:

  • 27-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) gaming monitor with versatile dual mode (4K @ 160 Hz or FHD @ 324 Hz)
