The new Heybike Saturn e-bike is the brand’s first foray into moped-style riding, and while it may not match up to the travel range on competitor models like the ENGWE M20 3.0 options (which we recently went hands-on with in a review), it does come in several hundred dollars lower in price.
It’s quite a capable and affordable commuting solution with its 1,000W motor (1,800W peak) that delivers up to 28 MPH speeds and two battery options. The single 956.8Wh battery provides the juice for up to 50 miles of travel, or you can get two batteries that raise that range up to 90 miles – and yes, there are throttles here.
Again, for the price here, you’re getting a nice feature set, including a hydraulic front fork with a rear spring suspension, 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes with motor cut-off, a 330-pound payload, 4-inch thick mixed-terrain fat tires, a white headlight with a horn, a taillight with brake activation and turn signals, a fender set, a rear cargo rack, a TFT color display, and more.
