9to5Toys’ Take
UGREEN has one of the more versatile charger lineups out there with compact, lightweight models for those who prefer keeping their gear minimal, as well as larger, more powerful units that can handle several devices while offering a few extra features. The Nexode Pro lineup already includes some capable chargers, and this new model is no different. It is easily one of the most feature-packed multi-port chargers we’ve seen from the brand, bringing several of our favorite features together in one package.
You get three ports, including two USB-C connections and one USB-A port, along with a built-in retractable USB-C cable that can deliver up to 140W. There is also a display with a separate touch button below it to let you cycle through different screens, monitor the power draw from each connection, and switch between charging modes. You can also pair the charger with UGREEN’s iOS/Android app to monitor output remotely or toggle individual ports on and off. Foldable prongs also make it slightly easier to pack for travel.

The new Nexode Pro 160W is by no means a compact travel charger, and it has a fair bit of heft to accommodate the higher output and all of its added features. It does miss out on the playful on-screen avatar found on Anker’s 45W Nano Smart Display charger, but the screen here still looks great, with sharp visuals and smooth animations. You can also adjust its brightness through the connected app.
As for charging, the unit delivers up to 160W in total and supports all four connections at once. Both the retractable USB-C cable and USB-C1 port can output up to 140W, while USB-C2 tops out at 100W and the USB-A port at 22.5W. When several devices are connected, the charger automatically distributes the available power between them. The app also lets you set custom output limits for the USB-C ports and switch between different charging modes.

I haven’t run into any issues while using this charger so far while using it to charge my iPhone and MacBooks, and the built-in Thermal Safe mode helps manage temperatures during faster charging sessions. Pairing the charger with the app was quick and straightforward, and I like being able to monitor performance and adjust its various settings directly from my phone.
All things considered, this is easily one of the best multi-port GaN chargers we’ve seen from UGREEN. It packs in just about every feature you could want from a charger, along with a few notable extras. I particularly like the ability to tweak so many settings and adjust the output from each USB-C port, as most chargers skip that in favor of basic charging stats adjustments. This feels like a genuinely smart charger, giving you plenty of control if you know what you’re doing or need a specific power setup for your devices. The fact that it supports firmware updates also means UGREEN can continue adding features and rolling out bug fixes over time. It is a pretty good option for powering several devices on a desk or nightstand, and the current $50 launch discount makes it even easier to recommend.
