Wait to see if Apple raises the MSRP on next-gen AirPods, or score Pro 3 at 25% off right now?

While a next-generation set of AirPods, and perhaps a Pro set, is expected to land next month, there’s no telling what we might get. The current-generation AirPods Pro 3 are not only widely considered to be one of, if not, the best in-ear experience you can buy, but they are also at one of the best prices right now at nearly 25% off, and the next-gen set could land with an even higher MSRP.

Amazon is currently offering Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 down at $189.99 shipped. This is just shy of $60 off and one of the lowest prices we have tracked.

Regularly $249, you’re looking at roughly 25% in savings here.

There was an extremely fleeting deal down at $184 much earlier in the year and they did drop lower for a brief time during the summer Amazon Prime Day sale, but we are talking about max $20 less than we have right now, and even that $169 deal was tough to land if you weren’t looking at your screens when it happened.

Now, some folks will be waiting to see if Apple actually does stick some cameras on its next-generation set of buds the way reports have suggested it might. But that sounds like a major, generational feature upgrade to me, and one that might very well come along with a higher MSRP than the existing set. This is Apple, and has dumb as cameras on a pair of earbuds sounds to me personally, they could be awesome, and could actually deliver some compelling functionality. But I’m not sure they will be compelling enough for me to pay $300 or something either.

I certainly wouldn’t blame anyone for holding off on the AirPods Pro 3 at this point, if not just to see what Apple has in store for next month, but this is arguably the best earbuds you can buy at one of the best prices yet nonetheless.
