As part of its ongoing 60th Anniversary sale, Best Buy has brought back the clearance pricing we saw last month on the Glorious GMMK Pro 75% barebones keyboard kit, dropping it to $59.99 shipped. This aluminum kit originally launched at $170, though it has been sitting closer to $80 lately. Amazon is also matching the $60 price today, marking the lowest we’ve seen it fetch there and landing $5 below its recent Prime Day price. At $60, you’re looking at nearly 65% off the original launch price, making this another great chance to grab one if you missed the previous deal and don’t want to spend too much on a new keyboard. Head below for more details.
The GMMK Pro 75% barebones kit is a good option if you want to build your own keyboard without starting completely from scratch. The aluminum case, PCB, stabilizers, sound-dampening materials, and rotary knob are already in place, so all you really need to add are switches and keycaps. Those parts don’t cost much, either. A 120-pack of Kailh Box Brown switches is currently $38, while Glorious’ Classic Black PBT keycap set is at $17. Add those to the kit, and you’ve got a full aluminum mechanical keyboard without spending anywhere near what many premium prebuilt models cost.
Best Buy has loads of other PC gaming and workstation gear on sale right now as part of its ongoing 60th Anniversary sale. Woot is also offering some solid deals on Keychron keyboards, with a bunch of popular mechanical keyboards starting at just $20.
GMMK Pro wired DIY barebones kit features:
- Premium Design & Materials: The GMMK PRO’s body is CNC machined from solid aluminum, giving it substantial weight and unrivaled durability compared to plastic alternatives. Anodization gives the body’s surface high scratch resistance and a satin-like feel. Beneath the board’s keys is an aluminum plate that creates a solid and consistent typing feel while also safeguarding internal components from damage or debris.
- 5-Pin Hotswap Design: Personalize the board’s typing experience by plugging in your favorite 3 or 5-pin MX mechanical switches from Glorious, Kailh, Gateron, Cherry, and more. No soldering required. The included switch puller makes replacing switches quick and hassle-free.
- Fully Customizable Appearance: The GMMK PRO’s included top frame, rotary knob, and cable are easily replaceable with colorful alternatives from Glorious, specially engineered for a perfect fit. This keyboard is designed to be redesigned.
