Like its predecessor, which recently launched in June as a non-expandable, compact solution, the newest HomePower 1000 Plus V2 power station brings along the same 1,024Wh LiFePO4 capacity, but does boast expandability up to 11kWh with expansion batteries (you can find bundles for them below). Not only that, but it sports more output ports (4x ACs, 2x USB-Cs, 1x USB-A, and a 12V DC car socket) that can dish out up to 1,800W of steady power and surge as high as 3,600W (over the 1000 v2’s 1,500W/max 3,000W output).
There are five ways to recharge this station. First, you can plug into a standard AC outlet for a full charge in around 50 minutes, which also matches the time frame for a gas generator to charge it. From there, you can use up to 400W of maximum solar panel input that can have it back to full in around 3.3 hours of sunlight from empty, use your vehicle’s auxiliary port, or getting faster on-the-go charging from the brand’s DC-DC alternator charger for up to 2.7 hours.
