While we are still tracking AirPods Pro 3 down at $50 off, you can also still land the all-new and more affordable AirPods 5 with a discount ahead of release. Amazon is offering the lowest price and is still delivering them just as fast as Apple will.
Amazon decided to undercut everyone on Apple’s new entry AirPods 5 down at $124.99 shipped. This year Apple has added Active Noise Cancellation to the base model set, adding even more value to the entry-level price tag that is now even lower at Amazon.
Early pre-orders for the new AirPods 5 are set to begin delivering tomorrow. However, at this point both Apple and Amazon are listing the new buds with a Monday, September 21 delivery date in most locations – you’ll pay slightly less if you order them at Amazon.
As of the time of writing, it would appear Monday is the earliest delivery date on AirPods 5 at this point, and that will presumably slip later into next week as the hours go by.
All of that said, and as almost impressive as it is that Apple actually added ANC to the $129 entry set, I’m still eyeing the AirPods Pro 3. They are currently sitting down at $199 on Amazon, which is clearly a larger investment, but also only $75 more than Apple’s entry level AirPods. That’s not an insignificant amount of cash, but it is certainly worth consideration if you can swing it – the current AirPods Pro 3 will remain the flagship set, complete with better battery life, better ANC, and additional features like the heart rate sensor, well into 2027.
