Sunseeker Elite is using Equip Expo 2026 to showcase its latest robotic lawn care tech, featuring everything from its current X Gen 2 lineup to a preview of what’s coming next. The company will be at the show from October 20 through 23 with its latest wire-free robotic mowers, live demos, and navigation tech on display at Indoor Booth #1190 and Outdoor Demo Area #7460D. This year’s focus is on making robotic mowing more capable in real-world yards, with AI-powered vision, smarter positioning, better obstacle detection, and improved terrain handling all working together to reduce routine lawn maintenance. The new X8 Plus model gives us a great idea of where the brand is heading next, while the rest of the lineup shows how much of that tech is already being put to work today.
The all-new X8 Plus Robotic Mower shows where the lineup is heading next
The X8 Plus is the main next-gen model Sunseeker Elite is previewing at the Equip Expo, and it comes with some meaningful upgrades over the current lineup. It combines nRTK, solid-state LiDAR, and stereo vision as part of the new AONavi 3.0 system, giving the mower better positioning and obstacle awareness across more complicated lawns. That should help it navigate more confidently around trees, tighter sections, slopes, and other areas where signal or visibility can get tricky. The whole setup is basically designed to make the mower more independent once it’s out in the yard, with less manual intervention needed from your end.
The X8 Plus is built for lawns up to 2 acres, and Sunseeker has given it the hardware to match. You’re getting all-wheel drive, four-wheel suspension, and support for slopes up to 80% or 39 degrees, which should help it deal with larger and more uneven yards. There’s also a 15.4-inch dual-disc cutting system, electronic height adjustment, and a larger 15Ah battery to help it cover more ground between charges.
The X8 Plus also gets a more capable obstacle-detection setup, combining solid-state LiDAR, Vision AI, and a physical bumper. There’s an infrared camera onboard too for nighttime animal detection, helping the mower spot wildlife and other obstacles even when visibility drops after dark. Another useful addition is EdgeZero™ 2.0, which is designed to cut right up to the edge of the lawn instead of leaving a strip behind for you to finish manually. Sunseeker says the system can achieve a zero-inch edge gap, which should leave far less trimming to do once the mower is finished.

Beyond the X8 Plus, Sunseeker Elite will also have its current X Gen 2 lineup on display, including the X5 Gen 2, X7 Gen 2, and X7 Plus Gen 2 mowers. These models already bring a lot of the brand’s wire-free automation into the mix, with nRTK, Vision AI 2.0, virtual boundaries, and app-based zone management. Starting October 15, US users can upgrade to nRTK, further enhancing the wire-free mowing experience. The X7 Gen 2 and X7 Plus Gen 2 models even offer all-wheel drive and floating dual cutting discs for larger and more uneven lawns. These existing models already give a great idea of what Sunseeker Elite is already doing today, while the X8 Plus shows where the lineup is heading next.
Sunseeker Elite showcase isn’t limited to just static product displays either, and the brand is setting up an immersive technology area that will show live camera imagery from the mower’s point of view, giving visitors a better sense of how the machines see the yard while navigating and planning a route. There will also be outdoor slope demonstrations featuring various robotic mower models, so attendees can watch them deal with inclines and changing terrain in a more realistic setting. That should make it easier to see how all the positioning, sensing, and mobility tech actually translates once the machines are out on the lawn.

Sunseeker Elite’s Equip Expo showcase is curated to give us an idea of how its fully-equipped mowers are designed to help us spend less time on routine yard work and more time actually enjoying the space. The brand has come a long way from making traditional garden tools to dishing out intelligent robots for your yard, and it’s showcasing that transition at the expo as well, while also adding a playful element with a baseball-themed robotic demo area and an outdoor pitching activity as part of its major baseball team partnership.
You’ll also be able to check out the X4, X9, and X9 Plus mowers alongside the X Gen 2 models and X8 Plus, spotlighting the brand’s entire robotic mower lineup for visitors who want to compare different options in person.

Sunseeker Elite, as previously mentioned, will be at Equip Expo 2026 from October 20 through 23 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. You can find the brand at Indoor Booth #1190 and Outdoor Demo Area #7460D, where the latest robotic mowers, live technology demos, and outdoor showcases will all be on display.
