Today only, as part of its latest daily deals, Woot is offering HP’s OMEN MAX 16 gaming laptop with an RTX 5070 GPU at up to 50% off. There are two configurations up for grabs, including an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX model at $1,499.99 and an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 variant at $1,649.99 Prime shipped (a $6 delivery fee will apply otherwise). These typically go for $2,700 and $3,300, respectively, so you’re looking at some seriously steep savings depending on which version you pick. Both configurations pair the same RTX 5070 GPU with a 16-inch FHD+ 165Hz display, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, with the main difference coming down to the processor platform. Head below for a closer look at both models and what sets them apart.
HP’s OMEN MAX 16 notebook highlighted here comes in two nearly identical configurations, with the main difference coming down to whether you want Intel or AMD under the hood. Both models pair an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, and a 16-inch FHD+ IPS display running at 165Hz. You also get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and the same Shadow Black aluminum chassis across both versions. The Intel model uses a Core Ultra 7 255HX with 20 cores and Thunderbolt 4 support, while the AMD version steps up to a Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 with 12 cores, 24 threads, and a much stronger dedicated NPU rated at up to 55 TOPS. So the choice mostly comes down to whether you prefer Intel’s platform and Thunderbolt support or AMD’s stronger on-device AI performance. It’s hard to go wrong with either them, especially while they’re up to 50% off.
