The company is introducing a pair of new options to round out its already diverse lineup this week with the new USB-C to VGA and USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet dongles. One again, the company has taken design cues directly from Apple’s latest machines to ensure your setup is looking right.
First up is the plug and play aluminum Type-C to VGA Adapter. Available today from Satechi and Amazon, it is designed to accomodate users that still might require the older video format, mainly in business and education-oriented environments. Capable of easily passing 1080p video at 60Hz, the new Type-C to VGA Adapter will certainly be a must-have for anyone that still needs to hook-up to older monitors or even projectors.
The second new addition to the lineup comes by way of the aluminum Type-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. The small and compact dongle is just what it sounds like converting a basic hard wire ethernet connection over USB-C to your new Mac. According to Satechi, it can support 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet making it great for smooth video streaming and network intensive gaming sessions. It sports a standard RJ-45 port and once again comes in various colorways to match up with your Apple gear.
