JBL has today announced they’re cutting the cord with their new Free earbuds. The true wireless earbuds are the company’s answers to the ever-growing cord-free earbud market. Today’s release comes equipped with JBL’s Signature Sound profile to match the audio experience heard on other JBL products.
The Bluetooth-powered Free earbuds come with a built-in microphone and support for mono audio phone calls. For those looking to push the device’s capabilities, JBL states that the Free earbuds can withstand rainfall and that morning workout sweat session at the gym. To ensure a secure fit, the JBL Free earbuds come with interchangeable ear tips and sleeves.
Coming in at 24 hours of full use, four continuous hours of music playback and 20 hours from the case, the JBL Free is right inline with its competitors. Standing out above the crowd, the these earbuds can be quickly recharged to one hour of music playback with just 15-minutes in its charging case.
“JBL Free sets the bar for truly wireless listening with its superior sound, versatility and sleek looks,” said Jessica Garvey, Vice President, Headphones & Wearables at HARMAN. “Completely free from wires and easy to use, the JBL Free is the ideal companion for calls, music and an active lifestyle.”
