Available on December 8th, Columbia Sportswear has collaborated with Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise to create three versatile jackets for this winter season. The three striking coats are inspired by those worn by Commander Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Captain Solo in The Empire Strikes Back. Each of these jackets are priced at $400 and quantities are limited to 1,980 of each. Since the quantities are so low, they are projected to sell out rather quickly. These pieces have identical details to the original jackets and are made for super fans.
The Luke Skywalker Echo Base Jacket is water-resistant and features a unique vest combination that is stylish. It’s inspired by Luke’s original Hoth costume in Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back and features Omni-Heat Reflective insulation that will keep you warm and dry during any outdoor activity.
The second piece from the collection is the Han Solo Parka. It’s a navy blue color with brown leather detailing. Designed to keep you warm in the coolest of temperatures, it features a heat insulation technology that’s breathable for all day comfort. This jacket is also waterproof and has a stylish fur hood.
Columbia is also releasing a brown version of Han’s parka. These jackets have a very steep price tag, but 100% of the proceeds from these jackets go to Conservation International Organization. Each piece is autographed by Harrison Ford, Han Solo himself. In addition, on December 8th there will be a giveaway where you can enter to win one for yourself.
Last but not least is the Leia Organa inspired jacket. Princess Leia’s white jacket and vest have been made into a fashionable coat that has a vintage look. It would be a perfect option to wear while hitting the slopes or for a cold weather event. In addition, it features reflective details so that you can be seen in low light.
