Zendure, a company out of East Palo Alto California, has just unveiled its newest USB-C power bank for funding on Indiegogo. This new USB-C charger is supposedly the “lightest and smallest power bank with 20,000mAh capacity” to date. It also has a 45W USB-C input and output, 4 regular USB outputs, LED digital display, X-Charge feature for low-power devices, and finally a UPS continuous power option. With a month left in its fundraising campaign, Zendure has already hit its goal of $30,000 and if all goes as planned, shipping the X6 will start in April of 2018.
The X6 is a pretty versatile device with a 20,000mAh backup battery that can power up your gear with a wide range of voltages and speeds. To get an idea of just how powerful it is, it can charge a Nintendo Switch, an iPhone X or even the latest MacBook at the maximum rated speed for each one. Not only that, it can completely recharge from empty to full in just three hours with the 45W PD input port.
It has 5 outputs that allows you to charge many devices at the same time. In addition to the USB-C input/output, the X6 has three standard USB 3.0 ports. Each one delivers up to 2.4A and one of the ports has Quick Charge 3.0. Even with all these features, the X6 is still is lightest and smallest PD Power bank out there with similar specs. That’s all due to its advanced electronics and high energy density battery cells.
What’s really nice about this power bank is that it has a UPS function and a low-power mode. The UPS feature allows it to provide the maximum possible output based on the device its charging. Most other power banks on the market don’t offer this function making the X6 pretty unique. So you can use this power bank as an ideal power source for security cameras and other internet-of-things devices plus a host of other applications.
There’s one last feature that makes the X6 really stand out. That’s the X-Charge function. This lets you safely charge smart watches, Bluetooth headsets and other low power devices that don’t draw enough current to activate a typical power bank.
