Fender Pro Clip-on Tuner for Guitar, Bass, Uke, more from $9 Prime shipped

from $9

Amazon is offering the Fender FCT-2 Professional Clip-on Tuner for Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Violin, Ukulele, and Banjo at $11.99. Shipping is free for Prime members or in orders over $25. Regularly between $15 and $17, this is a new all-time low on Amazon. For comparison, Sweetwater charges $15 for this model. However, if you don’t need the full color display, we also spotted the Fender FT-1 for $8.99 Prime shipped. Regularly $10 or more, this is the best we can find and an Amazon low. Combined, both models average out at about a 4+ star rating from roughly 100 customers on Amazon. More details below.

Now clearly you can just grab an extremely affordable app like Cadenza for $1.99 or even the free Guitar Tuner. But performing musicians sometimes prefer it clipped right on the head stock of the instrument. As an avid user of Guitar Toolkit for iOS (which supports tuning and much more for $2.99), I still prefer the simplicity of a clip-on solution like this at times for the sheer convenience. You will find some physical tuners for slightly less on Amazon, but you might as well go with a brand name like Fender.

Fender FCT-2 Professional Clip on Tuner:

Convenient and unobtrusive, the FCT-2 multi-function clip-on tuner helps ensure your instrument is always in tune, even on dark stages. Its handles noisy environments with ease thanks to its built-in vibration sensor. The color LCD display’s easy-to-read needle indicates how close to pitch each note is, and moves to the center of the display once the note is in tune. The FCT-2’s dual-hinge design allows you to mount the tuner on either side of your instrument’s headstock.
