A short holiday shopping window and increased competition amongst retailers had led us here. Great iPad deals a full 5 days before Black Friday officially begins. Staples is throwing the first Apple punch this year by extending a $50 discount on Apple’s latest tablets. This yields an iPad Air for $449, and iPad mini (1st generation) for $249, iPad 4th generation for $349. Other models are discounted as well with savings topping out at $150 on the high-end 4th generation iPad. Check out the entire list of available iPad discounts here.
The aforementioned prices are currently the best we have seen for each of the iPads, but we are expecting a couple better deals as we get into the thick of Black Friday. Now, I am not saying you should pass these deals up because there is no guarantee you’ll be able to score any of the other deals thanks to extremely limited quantities and aggressive shopping crowds. My personal strategy would be to lock in at least one discount (Staples) and if you’re able to grab a significantly better deal down the road just return the unopened iPad within the allowed time.
