Canon direct is offering a refurbished EOS Rebel T3i EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit for $395 with free shipping. That is the lowest price by $10 we have ever seen for this refurbished camera. As a further pricing comparison, Amazon is charging $599 for this same combination in new condition. It should be noted that Canon refurbished units have received great reviews, with most buyers saying the plain shipping box was the only hint that the item wasn’t brand new. The T3i features a DIGIC 4 Image Processor and an 18.0 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor, full HD video recording, live View shooting, wireless flash photography and even a vari-angle 3.0-inch LCD monitor.
Photogs and critics generally agree the Canon T3i is a terrific entry level DSLR, though may not be a compelling upgrade for folks with a T2i or newer. Although, at this price point it is hard to do better. If you’re graduating from entry-level cameras, you may want to look towards the Canon 60D for a more advanced step-up.
