John Deere and Michelin have partnered together to release the TWEEL, an airless, spoke-designed wheel for riding mowers. Michelin claims that it has all of the control of a pneumatic tire without the potential for down time due to flats. Additionally, it promises a consistent deck height on your mower to ensure an even cut every time you fire up your John Deere. The outside of the tire is made from a “shear beam” technology and is connect to the inner hub by “strong yet deformable” spokes.
The TWEEL is not yet available and is approved for John Deere ZTrak 900 B, M or R Series gas powered zero-turn mowers.
