Update (3/14 10:00am): Amazon has matched B&H’s price on the MGX72LL/A 2.6GHz/8GB/128GB model at $1,059.99 shipped.

B&H is offering a couple of discounts on the mid-2014 Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display plus a free copy of Parallels Desktop 10 (select build a bundle at the product page to redeem). Although these are now previous generation products thanks to Monday’s Keynote address, they are only a slight dip in technical specifications in comparison to the new models. If you don’t mind the difference, this deal is a great opportunity to save some real cash. B&H offers free expedited shipping on these products. it’s also worth noting that the online retailer only charges sales tax at the time of purchase for NY buyers.

Both 13.3-inch models offer 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 processors with 8GB of RAM, with different storage options separating the two:

We’ve got even more discounts on MacBook Pro with Retina display and Air in yesterday’s roundup. Apple has also reduced prices on a number of its refurbished products, including MacBook Air and AirPort Extreme.

  1. Probably will get mine by tomorrow, considering the mid 2014 model is cheaper. Is it worth to pay 150 USD more for the force touch and 1hour extra life? Please the advice.

It ultimately is a personal choice, as these are not defining features. If you don’t mind passing on those add-ons, this is a great opportunity to save some real cash.
