  1. I don’t know anyone these days who’d buy a new Mac with less than 8GB RAM. Perhaps these discounts are an acknowledgement from Apple that these low-RAM models aren’t moving as they’d like?

      4GB is generally enough for everyday users, but I agree 8GB is ideal.
