Update (6/5 12:30pm): Amazon has matched the price on the SanDisk Extreme Pro 480GB.

Today only, as its Shell Shocker Deal, Newegg offers the SanDisk Extreme Pro 480GB 2.5-inch Internal Solid-State Drive for $199.99 shipped. That’s good for $200 off the original listing, $30 better than Amazon’s current listing and the best price we can find.

Amazon users rate this solid-state drive 4.7/5 stars with over 86% giving it a 5/5. It features sequential read/write speeds up to 550 MB/s and 515 MB/s, is wrapped in an aluminum housing and ships with a 10-year warranty.

Newegg also has the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-inch Internal Solid-State Drive + PNY Turbo 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive for $179.99 shipped. This is a few dollars less than a popular deal we had a few weeks ago, however that included a 128GB flash drive. If you’re in the market for a complete setup, this is a nice combination that brings quite a bit of storage to the table. The bundle is worth $200+, with the 850 EVO retailing for $175+ and the PNY going for $25.

Pair a new SSD with a highly-rated 2.5-inch enclosure to make it an external drive.
