The finale in the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham series is about hit store shelves. Arkham Knight adds a number of new gameplay mechanics to the fray, mainly the Batmobile in full form, along with another interesting cast of Gotham’s best known villains.
The game is set to launch on Tuesday of next week. Head below for all the details on the open world action game, where to get it first and who has the best pre-order bonuses:
Batman: Arkham Knight puts players inside a completely open world version of Gotham City with no ugly loading transitions to break the immersion. Along with the return of many of Batman’s staple Arkham gadgets, we will be seeing an updated grapnel gun, new batarang sensors, and advancements in its ground breaking hand-to-hand combat system. Not only has the system been improved overall, but the dev team at Rocksteady is also introducing Dual Play, allowing players to take control of Batman’s allies (Robin, Catwoman, and Nightwing) for short periods of time during fight sequences.
But most exciting of all, we will be getting full reigns over the Batmobile. Armed to the teeth and with extremely nimble handling, Batman can have the Batmobile drive to his location unmanned anywhere in the city, or right where he is about to land while gliding through the air.
PlayStation gamers will be getting exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare Pack which contains exclusive missions starring Scarecrow: “Gotham falls victim to Scarecrow’s fear toxin, transforming the famous city into a twisted, hellish nightmare. Tear through the city in the all-new Batmobile and face off against a towering vision of Scarecrow and his undead army as they spread terror on the streets.”
