SONOS is back with a new limited edition PLAY:1 following the success of its small run of Blue Note speakers from the winter. These newly designed models will have the same high-quality audio as the regular PLAY:1’s but the outside has a soft touch finish that rids itself of the silver grille, opting for a color matching scheme instead. These aren’t going to necessarily standout in any way but that seems to be the point, it’s a better design for those that may be looking for a less “electronic” visual.

There will be roughly 5,000 units available in each color with a $250 price tag attached. That’s a $51 upcharge from the regular list price for the PLAY:1. Pre-orders will launch via the official SONOS store on July 21st at 1PM EST.
