DashCam Recorder and Camera offers motion-triggered recording: $27 (Orig: $95, CA Tax only)

The DashCam in-car video recorder starts filming whenever it senses a jolt, so you always have HD footage to back you up. 9to5Toys Specials has the recorder now for $27 with free shipping.

The DashCam mounts on your windshield, and with the supplied 8GB microSD card installed, it is able to store up to 2 hours of footage. You can upgrade the storage capacity with a memory card of up to 32GB, and the DashCam is able to rewrite over the oldest footage, so you are always covered. If you want to record your whole journey, you simply switch it on before you hit the road; alternatively, the recorder’s G-sensor can trigger the camera, even if it is switched off. There are four quality settings for the video, with a maximum resolution of 1080p, and the camera can also take JPEG stills. The DashCam runs on its own internal rechargeable battery, and it measures less than an inch thick.

You can grab the DashCam now to save 71% on the MSRP, with free shipping.

Update: While the make is unlisted, it is OpenSky and the product sells for about $8 more at Amazon without any reviews, however, other Open Sky Dashcams recieve 4/5 reviews.

This camera is mediocre at best. The field of view is not wide enough. I took a gamble on this one and sadly lost.

I bought this dash cam and cannot figure out a way to verify that “the recorder’s G-sensor can trigger the camera, even if it is switched off”; or that it even has a G-sensor at all. See my review on this device at Amazon. The “manual” is no use, believe me! If anyone can show or tell me how to verify that “The DashCam in-car video recorder starts filming whenever it senses a jolt”, I’d appreciate your letting me know.

Please note that the seller has now stated “We have spoke with the manufacturer and discovered the G sensor was left out of this model. We cannot apologize enough for any confusion or dissatisfaction this may have caused. We have consequently changed the listing. If you like, please follow the proper channels for a refund through amazon. Again, our apologies dscreet-spy.com” (see answered questions to the Amazon ad)

Usually you guys are great about posting ratings/reviews when you post a deal, but since you are selling this one, you aren’t? I can’t find anything on this product. Just curious.
