Update (6/5 9:15am): Amazon now has the 2nd Gen starter kit for $174.99 shipped. Adorama’s price has now jumped to $174.

Adorama offers the second generation Philips Hue A19 LED Starter Kit with HomeKit support for $169.99. For some reason, this bundle fails to qualify for Adorama’s free shipping program so you’ll have to pay a few dollars to get it home (varies by location). Today’s deal is the first significant discount that we’ve seen on the second generation kit since it was released last fall. It typically sells for $200 at Amazon and the like.

Step up to the latest Philips Hue system and add HomeKit control thanks to the new smart hub. You’ll be able to recreate thousands of colors with these A19 LED bulbs. The upgraded internals are now capable of pushing out 800 lumens of light, a 33% improvement over the previous generation. Philips’ recently updated iOS and Android app offers complete control over the entire system. Rated 4.2/5 stars by 527 Amazon customers.
