Square Enix brings human augmentations and hacking to iOS with the new Deus Ex Go

(Update 08/18): Deus Ex Go is now available for download on iOS and Android for $4.99.

Square Enix is back at it again with its popular mobile Go titles. This time around Adam Jensen will be coming over from the console to star in the new Deus Ex Go. Very much based around the success of the previously release Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, it is set to release later this summer, generally around the same time as the highly anticipated next entry in the AAA console series: Mankind Divided.

Deus Ex Go is a turn-based infiltration puzzle game set in a stylized interpretation of the Deus Ex Universe. As double agent Adam Jensen, you’ll use hacking, combat, and augmentations to solve the most challenging puzzles of the entire GO series. Work alongside your allies in TF29 and the Juggernaut Collective as you infiltrate locations to unravel the conspiracy behind a terrorist plot.

By the looks of it, Square has paid very close attention to detail here, transforming the addictive and yet thoughtful gameplay mechanics of its previous Go titles into the dystopian and digital world of Deus Ex. Playing as Adam Jensen, gamers will be tasked with navigating through a turn-based maze of environments while taking out enemies with the use of the series’ titular human augmentations, hacking skills and more. A level editor will be released a few months after the game launches, which sounds like it could add a whole new layer of interest to the experience.
