PSA Tip: The US Government makes it easy to find unclaimed money owed to you

If you’ve got a few minutes of spare free time, you might be able to get some serious cash from the US and state governments.

This USA.Gov site allows you to reclaim money that may be owed to you for a variety of reasons.

I had a check for $238 from my childhood (decade+ ago) that had been sent to my aunt’s old residence for some reason. So that was a $500/hr 25 minutes I spent setting up the claim.  Not bad. There are a ton of other non-government and state entities that this site sends you to to search. I recommend jumping in if you haven’t.
