TomTom introduces the Touch Cardio, its new fitness tracker with heart rate monitoring and smartphone-connectivity

The fitness tracker market seems to be getting more and more crowded each day. TomTom is adding to the crowd with its new Touch Cardio. This is a cheaper version of its original TomTom Touch, but still packs notable features along the way. You can count on heart rate monitoring, plus calorie, step and sleep tracking. Just the same, iPhone and Android compatibility remains, so you’ll still receive notifications.

“We know that many people don’t necessarily see exercise as an activity as such, but rather as an integrated part of their daily lives. They try to stay fit and healthy by walking, taking the stairs and doing groceries. We are extending our TomTom Touch range with this accessible fitness tracker to help more people understand how fit they are and inspire them to take that first step towards a more active lifestyle,” says Corinne Vigreux, co-founder and Managing Director TomTom Consumer.

TomTom will begin shipping its latest fitness tracker in March for around $110.
